Nivid Biometrics Iron layer server is biometric file encryption server which provides highest level of security by encrypting files using biometrics data and AES 256 Encrypting algorithm.
The server has a secured storage area called the VAULT. To access the Vault each user is authenticated securely using biometric finger print data. Since the biometric identity of a user can not be replicated or stolen, it ensures zero unauthorized access to the system.
Once authenticated, the user can encrypt any document. The documents are encrypted with AES 256 encryption algorithm using biometric data. Once encrypted the data is stored on the server in an encrypted format. This data is completely secured against known types of hacking attacks. Even in case of physical loss of the data device e.g. Sever HDD etc., the encrypted data cannot be accessed without proper biometric verification which was used to encrypt the data.
The server supports user level and group level permissions sets. A user or group can be granted following permissions.

Read
Write
Delete
Access to a file is granted using biometric authentication. Users can allow other Iron Layer users to access files by granting any permission from the defined permission sets.
The enterprise server also comes with a facility of a personal vault. The personal vault can be used as secured my document s or secured home folder. The data encrypted is within a secured space on the client machine and can only be accessed via biometric authentication by the user.
Iron layer can be deployed as a boxed appliance product or software only option.
The Boxed appliance solution comprises of the server hosted on an optimized hardware that is custom built to provide maximum efficiency and ease of management.
The software only license can be deployed on any window based server. This license allows smaller organizers to avail the same level of enterprise security at much lower cost of entry.
