| The System |
 |
| As shown in the High Level Architecture diagram, key systems which are deployed by BHMS are as follows |
|
Biometric Check-in system with Biometric room access |
|
Biometric Kiosk system |
|
Biometric Access Control for secured areas |
|
Biometric Time and Attendance for employee management |
|
When a guest arrives When a guest arrives at the front desk to check-in as part of the check-in process the guest is required to register his biometric fingerprint data with the check-in system. This data is automatically mapped against his room number and the room lock is updated accordingly. |
Biometric Fingerprint Readers for Guest Check-in
|
In some countries, hotels have to keep identity records and/or biometric records of all guests who stay or have stayed with them. These records are a great help to law enforcement agencies in case of need.
To access the room, a guest is required to authenticate identity by placing finger on the biometric door lock. Only on successful authentication can a guest enter the room. This reduces a lot of burden on security systems as unauthorized access of the room and instances of theft are greatly decreased. This also eliminates the need to have any kind of keys to be issued to the guests or staff for the room. (No misuse of keys, no lost keys and no hassles!!!) |

The locks are equipped to store multiple fingerprints hence the lock can cope with multiple guests occupying the room. This also allows the house keeping staff to be registered with the locks for them to access it for house keeping duties.
These locks keep a log on who has accessed the locks, which provides an important tool in hands of the hotel management to establish the precise entries in situation of emergencies and other investigations when required.
When a guest uses the services of the hotel bar, restaurant or any other paid service, instead of only his signature, he is required to provide his biometric identity by placing his finger on the biometric reader on the POS. This stops impersonation and eliminates any disputes at the time of final billing regarding the use of these paid services. |
Biometric Employee Time and Attendance |

Model of Biometric Time and Attendance Device
Biometric Employee Time and Attendance module is provided by extending and enhancing our 'Time Manager' (TM) product. It performs multiple HR functions and helps forecast payroll cost which is one of the most critical cost centres for any hotel from a profitability point of view. |
| Biometric Access Control

Model of Biometric Access Control Device
Biometric Access Control module is provided by extending and integrating our highly successful Access Manager solution into BHMS. Access Manager is a robust solution ranging from single door, stand – alone access system to controlling access to multiple entrances with complex requirements. The solution allows you to manage your access control policies and also helps in tracking individuals entering and leaving the premises. |
