Overview

Access Control refers to the practice of restricting entrance to a property, a building, or a room to authorized persons only. Physical access control can be achieved by a human (a guard, bouncer , or r e c e p t i o n i s t ) , t h r o u g h traditional mechanical means such as locks and keys, or through technological means such as a card access system.

Nivid Biometrics's Access Manager (AM) is a fingerprint based access control and time attendance system for all kinds of office and factory premises. This tamper proof fingerprint device eliminates the administrative cost involved with the conventional ID Card or swipe cards.

Access Manager is more secure compared to the conventional swipe card or ID cards because of the simple fact that fingerprint is unique to an individual. There is no room for error at all. Further, the system also has a provision for time and attendance calculations based on the data captured and recorded in the device. This will enable payroll processing too.
